Madhya Pradesh Old Age Widow Pension Yojana: Eligibility, Benefits, and Application Process

Resident senior citizens, widows and persons with disabilities of Madhya Pradesh meeting the age and income / family-status conditions prescribed by the department. Beneficiaries already receiving another state / central pension are generally not eligible.

Rs. 600 per month for ages 60-79; Rs. 800 per month for age 80+ (Old Age Pension). Same rates apply for Widow Pension (Kalyani, ages 18-79) and Disability Pension (Divyang, 40%+ disability, ages 6+). Payments quarterly via DBT. Over 80 lakh beneficiaries.

1. Visit the official Madhya Pradesh portal https://www.mp.gov.in
2. Locate the old age / widow / disability pension service
3. Register / apply and verify Aadhaar
4. Submit age, disability and residence documents
5. Verification by the department and activation of pension

Applicants for Madhya Pradesh Old Age Widow Pension must submit: (1) Aadhaar Card of the applicant, (2) Age proof certificate (birth certificate, school leaving certificate, or any government-issued document proving age 60+), (3) BPL ration card or income certificate showing annual income below Rs 50,000, (4) Bank account passbook in the applicant name with IFSC code, (5) Two recent passport-size photographs, (6) Domicile or residency certificate of Madhya Pradesh, and (7) Widow certificate (if applying under widow category) or disability certificate (if applying under disability category). Application can be submitted at the local SDM office or online through the MP Social Justice portal.
